H3Helpline and An Even Place, two ministries serving women and men seeking healing after abortion, have merged to combine immediate 24/7 support with ongoing virtual abortion recovery care.
Abortion recovery is an important aspect of pregnancy help, offered both through pregnancy centers and independent ministries. H3Helpline and An Even Place are two such ministries, merging to expand their impact.
Women and men call H3Helpline 24/7 for immediate after-abortion support. They contact An Even Place for ongoing healing through virtual support groups. The merger brings immediate and ongoing support together to offer more comprehensive care.
H3Helpline, directed by Terri Baxter, had operated under another organization for nearly a decade and will now become a program of An Even Place, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit led by founder and Executive Director Mindy Lefaucheur. Both divisions of An Even Place ministry will share branding and the tagline “help, hope, and healing” which was the origin of the name “H3.”
“The H3Helpline has the same number, 866-721-7881, and the same name,” Baxter explained. “We just have a new home and a fresh new look.”
Lefaucheur’s relationship with Baxter and H3Helpline began when she volunteered as an H3Helpline coach. The experience familiarized her with the ministry, and she eventually felt led to propose a merger.
“[Volunteering] gave me lots of experience getting to know Terri as a leader, some of the coaches on the team, their systems, and their effectiveness with the callers,” Lefaucheur said, which gave her, “a very clear picture of all the hows and whys [for merging].”
H3Helpline’s 24/7 availability helps fill the increasing need for immediate help after at-home chemical abortion. Where women previously often took decades to reach out for help after surgical abortion, that timeline has now collapsed, with many women calling immediately after an abortion or even while it is still underway.
An Even Place’s virtual format also makes abortion healing support more accessible.

H3Helpline is now a vital program within An Even Place’s overall ministry goals as an organization, articulated in its brochure as the four “cornerstones of care:” “Respond, Reach, Restore, Ready.”
“Respond” is the desire to promptly care for women reaching out for help, now made possible by the H3Helpline instant 24/7 response.
“Reach” involves actively seeking women who may not yet recognize the pain of abortion so they can be invited into the truth of their need for healing.
“Restore” is abortion healing through An Even Place’s virtual programming.
“Ready” is about preparing those who have been healed to “carry hope to others.”
One of An Even Place’s online class facilitators, Jenny Foster, explained how the virtual format won her over.
“I was skeptical that the curriculum and emotional connection between the participants would not have the same impact as meeting in-person,” Foster said. “Since then, I have been amazed to witness what I should have known all along; the Holy Spirit is not limited by Zoom or anything else!”

Still, Lefaucheur readily admits that An Even Place’s virtual support may not be right for everyone. Thus, H3Helpline coaches, as they did before the merger with An Even Place, will continue to provide their callers with multiple abortion healing options – a retreat, an in-person support group, and a virtual care option.
“We want to get men and women the help they need and want, no matter who it is,” Lefaucheur said. “Callers should have options and decide how and when they will get healing. We know we can't help everyone, nor is everyone visiting our site going to be interested in us specifically.”
That kind of collaborative spirit, according to Baxter, was “part of the attraction to merge with An Even Place.”
“We both wanted to reach as many women and men as possible and find the best programs in their area we could,” she said.
Both Baxter and Lefaucheur have seen God’s hand in directing this merger.
“When God presented the opportunity for us to merge, it was simple,” Baxter said. “We had like hearts, minds and desires to help hurting people find healing from their past abortions.”
“It's a new season of growth as we encourage each other and grow together,” she said.
Concurring, Lefaucheur said, “God has done this.”
