(The Lion) A pro-life ad promoting adoption has gone viral on social media since airing on national television during Sunday’s Super Bowl LX.
“New Super Bowl ad just dropped reminding women facing unexpected pregnancies that adoption is an option,” women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines said in a post on X in the days leading up to the big game. “Rarely do we see an ad like this, especially during the Super Bowl. If one woman sees this & decides not to terminate her baby, then it’s worth every penny spent.”
Besides the millions of viewers watching live during the Super Bowl, the ad has garnered millions more views, likes and reposts on social media platforms such as X and Instagram.
The 60-second ad opens with a young woman anxiously staring at a positive pregnancy test. The two lines indicating the positive result transform into two aisles of raging people chanting abortion slogans and pro-life lines.
“They’re telling you that you only got two choices. But the truth is, there’s three,” the voiceover in the ad declares. “Are these options difficult? Of course they are. But you deserve to know: adoption is an option.”

The organization Adoption is created the ad, titled “The Girl in the Middle,” according to Live Action News. The organization exists to “share the truth about adoption” and to “replace stigma with empathy,” its website states. “We believe adoption is not giving up. It’s giving a future. It’s a courageous act of love that deserves to be visible, viable, and valued in our culture.”

The organization counters the common “two options” approach to unexpected pregnancies: either abortion or full-time parenting. If a woman cannot support a child – financially or circumstantially – she can still give her baby life and find a good family to raise her child, the organization explains.
“Parenting isn’t always possible, But Adoption Is An Option,” Live Action said in its original post on X to promote the ad.
Live Action Founder and President Lila Rose also shared the story of Derick Hall, who was born at 23 weeks, weighing less than three pounds, with a 1% chance of survival.
“And yet, his mother refused to take him off life support, saving his life. The world would say he shouldn’t be here, but now, this Sunday, he’s playing in Super Bowl LX for the Seahawks,” Rose said.
Additionally, Live Action posted the names of seven NFL players who were adopted, honoring the “birth moms and adoptive families who loved these men and gave them a chance.”
“Adoption multiplies love,” Rose said in a post on X. “When a mother courageously carries her baby to term and entrusts him to a family ready to offer care, stability, & a future, it becomes a profound act of sacrificial love—one that deserves to be honored & celebrated.”
