I’ve heard it said that science and evidence, not politics, should guide medicine. But today because of politics there are many who are turning and looking away from the studies, the data, and the truth when it comes to chemical abortion and reversal.
I have sat with thousands of women making difficult pregnancy choices and I understand how it can be confusing that some women start an abortion and then want reversal of that abortion.
What causes a woman to make the most difficult choice to end the life of her own child, pay for an abortion, actually swallow the first chemical abortion pill, and then immediately have deep regret and hope to continue her pregnancy?
Big abortion and their propaganda arms of tech and legacy media and their political allies would have us believe that abortion empowers women and that women never have regret after starting their abortions - That abortion elevates women to a status in this world that could not be obtained unless they sacrifice their children and their motherhood.
But this could not be further from the truth.

The reality of abortion is not the woman standing at a podium with her arms raised high in triumph declaring her abortion and encouraging others to also abort.
Instead, abortion is typically a moment of agony, a low point, possibly the hardest decision of her life.
Abortion demands that a woman can only “free herself” if she sacrifice a part of herself. Abortion destroys not only a child, but a part of a woman that only God can restore.
The vast majority of women start an abortion under some level of duress.
The pressures of this world and influences in their lives have won and there seems to be no other way out.
With the broad access to chemical abortion, these drugs, each with their own Black Box Warnings, can be in hand within hours, delivered directly to any doorstep. Yet we lack laws that protect our women and children.
Every day we are losing children who have never been before and will never be again, snuffed out with a chemical with greed and death at the heart of its design and sold to women as the solution to a broad variety of problems.
And then we have those who really were given no choice at all - women who were trafficked, pimped, or abused by others, and abortion decisions imposed upon them and for them.
For these women, abortion is just another brick in the wall of dehumanization and the degradation of a soul who has no rights left.
There are many concerns about women self-administering their abortions:
Pre-existing mental and physical conditions often are not assessed.
Abortion occurs in a previously perceived safe place, such as a bedroom or bathroom, which cannot be avoided in the future. This may be a source of trauma after the abortion.
Typically, women are alone and vulnerable when complications occur.
The experience is minimized in advertising and doesn’t compare to the reality of bleeding and pain.
The feeling of loss can be immediate, especially if the mother saw her baby during the process.
And further, women are left with having decide about the disposal of remains of their own children.
But sometimes the strength of a mother is the ember that sparks enough fight in her to seek life both for herself and her preborn child.
And despite all of this, there is hope that doesn’t end when the first abortion pill is swallowed.
The abortion pill cocktail is actually two drugs taken at two different times for two different purposes. And for the many women who have regret it may be possible to save her child after taking the first pill.
