A New York pro-life pregnancy help medical clinic recently opened another location closer to abortion-centric New York City, allowing them to reach more women with the truth of fetal development and the love of Christ.
Located about 65 miles from The Big Apple, Gianna’s House opened in the town of Brewster in 2023.
“White Plains was the epicenter for abortion in all the counties north of New York City … [so the thinking was] how great it would be to get a pro-life [pregnancy] center in White Plains,” said Father Richard Gill, co-founder and CEO of Gianna’s House and parish pastor of St. Lawrence O’Toole and Sacred Heart in Brewster.
The facility is located about 30 minutes away from White Plains. Father Gill stated opening a pregnancy clinic in that community “wasn’t feasible.” However, a mobile unit known as "Tilma Care" covers White Plains and other towns in the area and has been doing so since December 2024.

“The mobile unit is great! It’s been helping us target specific areas,” said Gianna’s House executive director Julie Noce, who, alongside Father Gill, co-founded the pregnancy center. “But, we were only able to be in the lower Westchester area one day a week for four hours. A more permanent space was really needed.”
On May 13, 2026, Gianna’s House opened a second location in Yonkers, located north of the Bronx and about 21 miles from New York City, in Westchester County. The new pro-life clinic is called Tilma Care as well and is housed in a medical office complex across the street from the local hospital. Like Gianna’s House, the new facility offers limited ultrasounds, pregnancy testing, peer counseling, and spiritual guidance.

“So, we now have two pregnancy centers and a mobile unit around New York City,” said Father Gill. “This new center is the very first one in the area … in a long, long time.”
His congregation helps support the pro-life pregnancy center, and he said he’s seeing significant interest from other parishes in and around Yonkers for the new facility.
Nicole Moore is the executive director of the Yonkers location. She has worked in pregnancy help for several years, including serving at a center in Manhattan.
“We’ve had two moms come through our doors and choose life,” she told Pregnancy Help News in early June, noting it is just a few weeks since opening.

A walk-in client, referred by the hospital, came in on the first day of the month. The nurse at Tilma Care performed an ultrasound and, to everyone’s surprise, the woman was carrying twins, Moore said.

“That’s kind of our goal – we really want to be a resource for those moms who aren’t sure if they’re pregnant, just found out that they’re pregnant, and [those] not sure what they want to do,” she said.
In addition to the various programs and services currently provided, Moore noted the staff is working on developing community referrals to offer clients and considering additional services, including STD testing.
An open house was held in May in which about 70 people attended.

“We’re building a base of pro-lifers in the area, including volunteers to work in the centers, and that’s crucial,” Father Gill stated. “The teams [at both centers] are also working very closely. We’ve had a lot of beautiful harmony working together.”
The two centers are about 45 minutes apart, he added.
The mobile unit continues to serve surrounding communities and is seeing more walk-in clients, Noce noted.
“That shows trust, and it’s a beautiful thing,” she said.
The unit goes out three days a week and serves different communities including the Bronx, White Plains, and Poughkeepsie.
The state of New York and a large number of its towns are considered strongly pro-abortion. According to the online abortion reporting service, Abort73.com, in 2024, more than 119,500 abortions took place in the state, down slightly from 121,050 in 2023 but up from the 2017 report of 105,380 abortions. Many communities restrict sidewalk advocacy by pro-life organizations, and the state’s Attorney General, Letitia James, has attempted to put a chokehold on pro-life speech, whether in person or online.
However, according to Noce, because of the presence of the Gianna’s House mobile unit for the past several months, overall, Yonkers has welcomed Tilma Care’s brick-and-mortar location.
“The reception in Yonkers has been really great, and because Nicole had the experience of working in a center, we were able to get up and running quickly,” Noce told Pregnancy Help News. “It’s been a beautiful blessing from God.”
