Life Choices of Memphis pregnancy medical clinic launched a fatherhood program over a year ago. Their mindset with the TWENTY:7 program is that fathers shape the future and transformed fathers shape generations.
Approximately four of every 10 women who enter the pregnancy help organization’s centers are accompanied by the unborn child’s father. This led leadership of Life Choices, which was established in 1986, to realize the need to add programming for men to better serve the families seeking their services.
Rachel Davis, director of Community Relations, and Justin Morris, director of the TWENTY:7 program, both noted the program has launched and succeeded organically inside the Life Choices clinics.
TWENTY: 7 exists to help fathers and fathers-to-be understand their role in the journey of pregnancy, parenting, and family leadership. Life Choices’ method with the program is an assessment followed by establishment of one-on-one mentorship, group discipleship, practical support, and Bible study to teach what it means to lead with integrity.
The program’s name and focus are taken from Proverbs 20:7 - The righteous man who walks in his integrity - blessed are his children after him.

Morris is motivated to lead this ministry because he believes the Gospel not only provides salvation but also transforms generations.
“Every week, I sit across from young men who are carrying confusion, wounds, fear, anger, fatherlessness, immaturity, addiction, disfunction, instability, or simply a lack of direction,” Morris told Pregnancy Help News.
As Morris has observed, a lack of vision and Biblical knowledge has left a vacuum among those who have not witnessed modeling of Biblical fatherhood – whether from their own father or other men – opening the door for the opportunity to minster to men.
“I have watched God radically change men when they are given truth, relationship, accountability, and hope. That is why TWENTY:7 exists,” he explained. “It is about real men transformed by the Word of God, empowered by the Spirit of God, and strengthened by relationships with other godly men.”
Morris said it has been a great joy for him to watch men be transformed; once lost, then suddenly reading Scripture and soon leading their family.
“A couple chooses marriage and stability instead of chaos,” he said. “A man who once needed guidance begins helping someone else. That is the kind of transformation that cannot be manufactured.”
Davis gave perspective on the impact the transformation of men has on the women.
“I think that for a lot of our women, when they have the fathers of their children speaking worth into them, the kind of worth that says, ‘you’re worth marrying,’” she said. “I think that it’s just so overwhelming. I think that they don’t know how to react to finally a man saying, ‘This is what’s right cause this is what God says in His Word and so this what we need to do.’”
Morris consistently concludes that this is the work of the Holy Spirit, simply leading men to Christ who transforms hearts and transforms fathers to lead in their homes, love their families, and shape generations.

One participant, Charles, stated, “In one year of time, Justin has changed my life in so many ways biblically that brings honor to a man who was once looking for meaning.”
Reggie, as the first man to take part in the program, has become their “prototype.”
Reggie testified, “I didn’t know my life was never going to be the same spiritually after signing up for the fatherhood program.”
Reggie went on to state that Justin was a support through the good and bad times and specifically as he dealt with the loss of his unborn child.
“It was a dark time,” he recalled. “But Justin comforted me and reminded me to always keep God close to my heart even when I had my doubts.”
“This program will teach you how to be a man and a man of faith,” Reggie said.

At the end of 2025 there were eight men participating in the TWENTY:7 program, which currently has 46 young men connected in mentoring relationships. Among the victories are 14 professions of faith and five marriages.
“It’s a very intentional discipleship process,” Morris shared. “We just make an introduction and tell him we have support for him.”
“If he is interested then we schedule a meeting together,” said Morris.

The volunteer roster of men in the program numbers over 40. Some are center hosts and some are mentors.
“I’m learning how to make a good life for my son,” Haywood, a participant testified. Justin has helped me think through things I never thought about before.”
“I’m starting to build a life and become proud of myself,” Haywood said. “Before I believed in God, but now I have a relationship with Him. I think about Him and talk to Him all the time.”
“We pray a lot, we have a godly staff,” Morris said. “God is at work. We haven’t tried to be what we’re not. We haven’t tried to do more than we can do.”

Lydell, another participant noted, “The program really has been a help for me as a man having somebody to talk to about my past and my problems that I dealt with. Mostly, having somebody who prayed for me.”
“Our objective is very simple,” Morris said, summarizing the vision. “I believe that if I have the Spirit of God inside of me, and the Word of God in front of me, and a man of God who will walk beside me, my life is going to be transformed.”
“In just one year, we’ve seen families restored, marriages established, and men grow in their faith and purpose,” he said. “Because fatherhood changes everything. And no man should have to figure it out alone.”
